MCH are a Research active organisation and have a vision of being able to offer our staff, patients and carers the opportunity to get involved in research. Below is a table of our current open National Institute of Health and Care Research approved studies we are supporting.

Some studies are specific to the clinical services and care that is being delivered but feel free to click the links and check out what we are involved in and to get some more information

CHELSEA II logo.jpg A cluster randomised trial of clinically assisted hydration in patients in the last days of life. Wisdom Hospice surrey.ac.uk/chelsea-ii-trial Patients within the Wisdom Hospice, over 18, with an estimated prognosis of under a week that are unable to maintain sufficient oral fluid intake.

The ELSA study is testing children using a finger stick blood test, to find markers in the blood (autoantibodies), that tell us if the child is at risk of getting type 1 diabetes in the future.

Skin Changes in people with Dark Skin Tones This study is an assessment of skin changes in people with dark skin tones.
