Update: 5 February 2025
Our IT incident: Getting us back to normal
Thank you for your continued patience over the last month while we’ve been in business continuity. We anticipate getting all staff and systems back online within two to three weeks.
We’ve listened to our patients and staff feedback about returning to all IT systems as soon as possible. We have delayed so far only to ensure we minimise risks to patient safety, but we are pleased to share that we’ve risk assessed the current situation and will now safely roll-out access to all systems as fast as possible.
While we move through this period, there may be some teams continuing to use paper as we bring them back online (in the next two to three weeks) but this should only be for a limited period.
Whilst we test and ensure all our systems are working properly, please can we ask that paper blood forms are still issued, whilst the booking system is in the final stages of testing.
We are sorry if you have been affected by this, and we appreciate that this has been frustrating. Please be assured that we have only taken the time required to protect all patient data and get our staff and systems back online safely and securely. Our staff have worked incredibly hard throughout to maintain services and take excellent care of our patients.
We look forward to getting back to normal within the next three weeks and will confirm as soon as we complete our recovery plan.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
