This week the team at Snapdragon’s Children’s Centre were delighted to accept some sunflower seeds and plants from Morrisons in Walderslade for the facility’s gardens. The initiative is part of the supermarket’s nationwide ‘Seeds of Hope’ campaign which aims to spread a little hope and happiness to the community as we emerge from lockdown.
Snapdragons Children’s Centre is a facility run by Medway Community Healthcare (MCH) and Medway Council, which provides support for a multitude of disciplines for children, young people and their parents.
Karen Adgie, Family Engagement Officer at Medway Community Healthcare, said: “Our volunteer gardener David has been busy potting the seeds and planting them in our gardens, and we have packets of seeds to give out to the children together with colouring-in cards. We can't wait to see all the flowers in bloom!”
