The MCH Community Dental Service team (CDS) is proud to have provided dental treatment during the current pandemic, via two of Kent’s urgent dental care hubs. In addition to providing urgent treatment, both the CDS and Dentaline (out of hours) teams have provided an advice, analgesia and antibiotics service.
Following the Government’s announcement that dentists can again start to see patients, both CDS and Dentaline will work to increase the physical provision of dentistry.
This will be a significantly reduced service, (compared to pre-lockdown), both in terms of the numbers of patients seen and the types of treatment available. This will mean that, for safety reasons, we will mainly perform extractions, with fillings carried out only in very specific circumstances. We anticipate that demand will be high and we will therefore prioritise patients based on need.
Thank you for your support and patience as we continue to provide safe and effective dental care, in challenging and unusual circumstances.
