How are we doing
Between April 2023 and March 2024
- MCH received 10,928 Friends and Family Test surveys which was an increase on the previous year by 1,761 surveys returned.
- 94% of service users felt that they received a very good experience of MCH services which is an increase on the previous year by 5%.
- We made approximately 794,154 individual contacts with patients
- We received 279 written complaints, 18 verbal complaints (including grumbles and advice), and 34 joint formal complaints (a complaint involving more than one provider of NHS services). We have had no requests for information by the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman. The complaints received by MCH in 2023-2024 was an overall increase of 35, compared to the number of complaints received within the same time period the previous year.
- We received 529 unsolicited compliments from the people we care for. Our commitment to listening to our patients and responding to feedback helps us learn and improve our services for the people we care for.
- 7 existing and 1 new member of staff completed their apprenticeships
And in this same period:
- 19 existing members of staff and 2 new members of staff have started their apprenticeships.
- 47 apprentices were on programme.
- We provided substantive jobs for 190 new members of staff.
